12th World Congress of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases is going virtual!
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The continuous restrictions regarding travel, hosting events and congresses have changed the format of numerous global meetings and conferences in the last year. Even though the world is slowly taking the road to recovery, as COVID-19 vaccination programs are rolling out, it remains our top priority and responsibility to ensure the health and safety of our staff and participants. With this in mind, the WSPID Board and the International Scientific Committee have made the decision to hold the 12th World Congress of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) as a virtual event, taking place on 22-24 February 2022.
WSPID is the only global society that is devoted entirely to pediatric diseases in children. Our congress takes place every alternate year, and with its virtual format, it will be more accessible than ever to our colleagues from middle- and lower-income settings. Our Scientific Committee works hard to bring the best speakers and to address the most important issues in infectious diseases that affect children and their families.
The WSPID 2022 Virtual Congress will be an opportunity to learn of the latest developments relevant to your patients, interact with world experts in all aspects of pediatric infectious diseases, meet colleagues from all over the world and also network to look for new opportunities and collaborations. As pediatric infectious disease doctors, we have much in common as regardless of where we come from. We share a passion to help children through scientific and clinical acumen to address the immense burden of infectious diseases.
We look forwards to warmly welcoming you all online!
President, World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases
